Kosair Charities Open Car & Motorcycle Show

Since 2009, Bob Beatty and his team have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Kosair Kids in need of organ transplants by raffling a refurbished classic car. This year, his team is attempting to hit the $1 million mark. In order to reach his goal, he’s calling in friends from across the country and inviting them to show off their autos at the Kosair Charities Open Car and Motorcycle Show. Registration is now open for Louisville’s first Kosair Charities Open Car and Motorcycle Show at Mike Linnig’s. The car show takes place from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., with live music by the Monarchs from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

Witnessing History: Daniel Boone and the Opening of the American West
The first full-length film production on the life of Daniel Boone ever produced for television, Daniel Boone traces the life of the famed frontiersman from his birth near Reading, Pennsylvania in 1734 through his years in Kentucky and to his death in St. Charles County, Missouri in 1820. A vast number of Boone documents, portraiture, and imagery have been collected from historical societies and private collections for use in the production. Every known portrait of Boone is included, as well as at least thirty paintings from three of the most popular contemporary artists of frontier America.

See Godfrey Live at Comedy Caravan!
Godfrey is one of the hottest comedians on the circuit. Growing up in Chicago, he was constantly in trouble for misbehaving and being an all-around class clown. Godfrey’s parents unknowingly encouraged his bad behavior by showing him classic comedy films from an early age. While performing impressions of his college football teammates, Godfrey realized his irreverent style of comedy might be more than just a hobby. He will only be performing from May 29 to May 31, so be sure not to miss it!

Eve Theatre Company Presents Always a Bridesmaid
Eve Theatre Company presents Always a Bridesmaid, a rollicking tale by the popular comedic writing team Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten, three of the most produced playwrights in America. The comedy opens Thursday, May 22 and runs through Sunday, June 1 at The Bard’s Town Theatre. Always A Bridesmaid tells the laugh-out-loud journey of four loyal and determined women who answer the question: "Just how far are you willing to go to keep a promise to a friend?" High school pals Libby Ruth, Deedra, Monette, and Charlie have sworn to be in each other’s weddings, no matter the circumstances (including some of the world’s ugliest bridesmaid dresses). Joining these beleaguered bridesmaids are Kari, Libby Ruth’s newly-married daughter, and Sedalia, the snobby proprietress of the wedding venue.
