This Is My Heart for You at the Bunbury Theatre
Only an insider could both criticize the dark sides of Appalachia while uplifting its people. That is the complexity of contemporary mountain life and of this play by Kentucky’s own Silas House. Pandora brings this amazing piece to the stage incorporating the dulcimer, guitar and washboard and so much more. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped out of the urban area for an hour or so and into a world usually only stereotyped.

Sister Act at the Kentucky Center
Featuring original music by 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors), Sister Act tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look—a convent! Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act is reason to rejoice! Check out Louisville.com's interview with cast member Richard Pruitt!  [5]

Comets: Elusive Frozen Wonders at the Rauch Planetarium
Join us to learn why comets were viewed as omens of death, doom and destruction throughout the ages. General public distrust of comets continued into the early 1900’s, when people panicked about possible poisonous gas being emitted with the nearby pass of Halley’s Comet despite reassurances of safety from scientists. Now we herald comets with awe and excitement – eager to catch a glimpse of these rare astronomical events. Be sure to mark your calendar for this free family-friendly presentation on comets.
