This Sunday, October 12, from 3 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. join some of Louisville's bartenders for a good "old fashioned" cocktail throwdown. Okay, it's not technically old fashioned, but they will be competing to make the best old fashioned they possibly can.
Bartenders from The Silver Dollar, Decca, the Monkey Wrench, Proof, St. Charles Exchange, Garage Bar, Meta, Harvest, Doc Crow's and Rye will be competing and offering their own take on the old fashioned, the Seelbach, and of course the ever-Louisville-related mint julep. So basically, almost every place in town with a really stellar cocktail menu (with a few notable exceptions!) is sending a bartender to sling drinks at this thing.
The event is sponsored by Old Forrester, and of course, you should be 21 to attend. Event entry is $12 and includes one cocktail and food provided by Atlantic No. 5. You can get free entry to the event if you complete your Spirits Passport: pick one up at a participating bar, and get a stamp each time you order an Old Forrester cocktail from one of the participating bars or restaurants.
The event will be held at Creation Gardens at 725 East Market Street. You can learn more here [4] or RSVP for the Facebook event here [5]!
