Here’s a quick look at how Louisville natives and University of Louisville products did in Week 5 of the NFL season.

Louisville natives

Corey Peters (Atlanta): The fifth-year defensive tackle, a Central High School graduate and former University of Kentucky standout, tallied two tackles in the Falcons’ 30-20 loss to the New York Giants. Peters has 10 tackles and one sack so far this season for Atlanta (2-3).

C.J. Spillman (Dallas): The sixth-year defensive back, a Central grad and former Marshall University standout, tallied one tackle on special teams - but was also flagged for two penalties - in the Cowboys’ 20-17 overtime win over Houston. Spillman played despite the fact that he is involved in a sexual assault investigation involving an incident that took place Sept. 20 at the Cowboys’ team hotel.

Former UofL players

Gary Barnidge (Cleveland): The tight end, who is in his seventh season, played but didn’t register a catch in the Browns’ thrilling come-from-behind 29-28 triumph at Tennessee.

Teddy Bridgewater (Minnesota): The rookie quarterback didn’t play, due to an ankle injury, in the Vikings’ 42-10 loss at Green Bay on Thursday night.

Preston Brown (Buffalo): The rookie, who started at inside linebacker, tallied three tackles in the Bills’ 17-14 win at Detroit. Brown now has 43 tackles for Buffalo (3-2).

Harry Douglas (Atlanta): The wide receiver, who is in his sixth season, was inactive - missing the Falcons’ loss to the New York Giants - for the second straight week due to a foot injury.

Elvis Dumervil (Baltimore): The outside linebacker, who is in his ninth season, recorded one tackle and two quarterback hits off the bench in the Ravens’ 20-13 loss at Indianapolis.

William Gay (Pittsburgh): The cornerback, who is in his eighth season, tallied two tackles and two passes defended in his second start of the season in the Steelers’ 17-9 win at Jacksonville.

Breno Giacomini (New York Jets): Giacomini started at right tackle for the Jets in their 31-0 loss at San Diego.

Senorise Perry (Chicago): The rookie running back didn’t have a carry, or return a kick, but did record a tackle in the Bears’ 31-24 loss at Carolina.

Bilal Powell (New York Jets): The fourth-year running back had two carries for 6 yards in the Jets’ 31-0 loss at San Diego.

Calvin Pryor (New York Jets): The rookie free safety, who injured his thigh in the Jets’ previous game, tallied one tackle in New York’s 31-0 loss at San Diego.

Greg Scruggs (Seattle): The third-year defensive end didn’t play in the Seahawks’ 27-17 win at Washington on Monday night.

Marcus Smith (Philadelphia): The rookie linebacker, who was a first-round draft pick, played but didn’t register a tackle in the Eagles’ 34-28 triumph over St. Louis.

Byron Stingily (Tennessee): The fourth-year offensive tackle didn’t play in the Titans’ 29-28 loss to Cleveland.

Eric Wood (Buffalo): Wood, in his sixth year in the league, started at center - his 68th consecutive start - for the Bills in their 17-14 victory at Detroit.
