Baby D's Bagel and Deli, at 2009 Highland Avenue, has closed. On a Facebook post dated August 27, customers were invited to come in and celebrate the shop's "
bitter sweet decision to close down."
Baby D's opened in September of 2011, with the intention of bringing New York style bagels to Louisville. Owners Matthew Lohuis and Derrick Mulcahy offered a large menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, catering, and delivery.
We look forward to seeing if Baby D's moves elsewhere, and what will take the prime spot in the Highlands (right behind Wick's Pizza) where Baby D's used to be.
