Family Fun Day at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve [4] is Sunday, July 20 from 11am-3pm. It is sponsored by Louisville Family Fun (www.louisvillefamilyfun.net [5]). The day promises to be fun-filled and totally family-friendly! And easy on the pocketbook too; ticket prices for the event are $3 per child with a maximum $12 per family. Parents and children 2 and under have free admittance. It all supports the work of the Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve [6] which runs on donations. All proceeds from tickets will go 100% to the nature preserve. The preserve is a 170-acre public charity located in Goshen, and this event is one of its annual fundraisers for the year.
At 1pm, there will be a fire truck splash down from the North Oldham Fire Department [7], plus freebies, food, ice cream, kid’s activities, face painting and more. According to their Facebook page [8], they will have inflatables and bouncies from Kazoing Party and Play [9]! In addition, “with 20+ craft and activity booths offering games and prizes, there will be lots of fun for everyone. Kids will be able to spin a wheel for prizes, play cornhole, work with clay on a potter's wheel, and make their own kid's visors, among other activities.” There will be pizza provided by Papa John’s Pizza and ice cream from Valley Dairy Freeze [10]. The ice cream eating contest that brought so much fun last year is back this year too! Parents: get a complimentary neck massage as well.
Louisville Family Fun [11] will be on hand with lots of freebies and prizes for everyone, including freebies for the first 100 children. It’s the middle of summer, what a great way to celebrate outdoors in a natural and gorgeous venue at the preserve, with so many walking trails and paths to explore.
