Bit to Do [1]
By Michelle Eigenheer [3]

A couple of weeks ago, news out of San Francisco broke about a man who was stashing cash around the city for people to find. Tweeting out clues to each location, @HiddenCash created a flurry of people on the hunt for free money, up to about $1,000 each day. The anonymous benefactor claims to be a man who made a fortune in real estate and wants to pass his good fortune on to others. He announced that his project would go national, next tackling Manhattan.

Since @HiddenCash made its debut, envelopes stuffed with money have been popping up in Milwaukee, Chattanooga, Wichita, Dallas, Chicago, St. Louis, Oklahoma City and now Louisville.

@HiddenCashLou is the newest of these anonymous accounts to pop up. The bio states that it is “Inspired by @HiddenCash,” and is probably not by the original San Franciscan. So far, the account has racked up over 240 followers, but has only tweeted six times – none of them clues leading to any cash reward.

Nevertheless, people are anxiously awaiting their chance to snag a couple extra bucks. Check out the account if you want to #payitforward.
