Wear your 2014 Pegasus pin and your brightest workout clothes -- neon, if you have it -- and join in the Kentucky Derby Festival's free Zumba Fitness Party [4] at Waterfront Park. 2014 is the third year for the Zumba Fitness Party [5], sponsored by the Community Foundation of Louisville.
Zumba [6] enthusiasts love its high-energy choreography and mix of music and dance from around the world. It moves quickly and your workout is over before you know it, which beats trudging on the treadmill any day. If you haven't tried a class yet and are curious about this workout, this is the place to be -- the crowd will be huge and amped up. No doubt a little competition among the local Zumba instructors will be in play, but Zumba partiers have no need to feel self-conscious. Trust me, you will NOT be the focus of attention, so you can shake it and miss steps all you like with no fear.
