In celebration of his life yesterday, April 22nd, Louisville’s own Jalin Roze decided to release a new single for his birthday.
“That’s It”, produced by Josh La Rock, refers to life in Louisville, life in the future of success for Roze, and how he is content with his fix, because “That’s It.” Roze is a modest artist with humble beginnings that is putting a face to the local music scene in Louisville.
Roze makes comments like, “Went to 21 Jump Street to 21C” and “I’m Louisville’s Own”, and “KY state of mind” that give his music a sense of locality, which his fans love.
You often hear music that incorporates cities like New York and Los Angeles, but Roze is putting Louisville on the map of hip-hop.
“It's crazy how something that started as a hobby has taken me to the point of releasing albums and performing at festivals like Forecastle; but I'm always striving for more. A never-ending search for satisfaction.”
