Best of Louisville Bash at Churchill Downs' Millionaire Row

Celebrate the 27th annual Best of Louisville Awards. Each year, past and present winners of Louisville Magazine’s Best of Louisville come to the event to showcase their talents. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample menu favorites from some of Louisville’s top restaurants while enjoying live entertainment, a silent auction, balcony views of the racetrack, twin spires and much more. Proceeds from the bash benefit the Kentucky Southeast Indiana Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Individual tickets are $50 and corporate tables are $750 or $1,000 (included are eight tickets, 16 drink tickets, four valet passes and signage at the event). At $1,000, your table will have its own private butler.

Kentucky Music Weekend at Iroquois Amphitheater

For the 37th consecutive year, the Kentucky Music Weekend folk festival brings together some of the finest folk musicians and Kentucky traditions to Louisville’s Iroquois Amphitheater and the tree-lined area nearby. Dare To Care food bank will be collecting non-perishable food items throughout the event. For the ninth year, KMW will host the Kentucky State Mountain and Hammered Dulcimer Championship contests during the Saturday daytime events.

Saving Sunny, Inc.'s Second Annual Pitty Fair

This pet-friendly art and music fair celebrates the positive movement for pit bulls. It features guests Ken Foster, best-selling author of The Dogs Who Found Me and Dogs I Have Met along with Dolly’s Foundation celebrity pit bull, Harper. Pitty Fair also will feature musical guests Joan Shelley and the June Brides, Leigh Ann Yost, Nick Peay, and more. The event will also host a puppy kissing booth, a kid pit, local craftsman and stores selling items, and an assortment of animal-related booths with adoptable animals. Louisville's food truck industry will also be present in full force. Saving Sunny, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization that rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes animal victims of criminal abuse and animals in danger of euthanasia. All proceeds from Pitty Fair will go towards animals in need.

Passport Adventure at Just Creations

This event is for elementary-aged children and features craft projects from around the world. Children will travel throughout the store to five stations representing regions of the world. As children travel, create art projects, and learn about the different cultures, they get their passports stamped. Every child with a fully stamped passport will receive a fun cultural prize.

'Rent' at CenterStage

Based on Puccini’s La Boheme, the show ran for 12 years on Broadway and won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Tony Award for Best Musical. Its tragic but uplifting story of a group of young artists struggling to meet the challenges of life in the time of AIDS resonated with a generation and continues to move audiences today. CenterStage will collect donations on behalf of several local HIV/AIDS charitable organizations at each performance.
