On Thursday November 14, there will be no need to go to Cincinnati or Chicago to get your H&M fix. The much anticipated H&M store will open on Thursday, November 14, 2013 in Oxmoor Center [4] at noon.
If you’re one of the lucky first 200 shoppers in line, you will receive an “all access fashion pass valued up to $300 for your entire purchase.” The event will feature a DJ. You can check out the facebook event here [5]. At the time of this post, 439 people have already RSVD as attending, so better get there early if you want to be first in line!
H&M [6] is known for their fashionable, yet affordable clothes for men and women. Think of it as a slightly more upscale Forever 21—while still very trendy, H&M also stocks staples and classic pieces. While often more affordable stores are focused mainly on attracting flibbertigibbet teenage girls, a slightly older set can shops at H&M comfortably.
As a bonus, there is no way Oxmoor Center could make H&M as ridiculously disorganized and complicated as the Forever 21 at St. Matthews. You go into that Forever 21 looking for a pair of sandals and come out in a raggedy crop top emblazoned with a kitten, wearing ripped up fishnets and sixteen cheap necklaces, with no sandals, not sure what happened or how long you’ve been shopping.
