Southern Belles, white substances, and Herbert are part of The Bunbury Dramedy Festival, which opens this weekend.

The Bunbury Dramedy Festival will take place on Oct. 4, 5, and 9-12 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees will take place on Oct. 6 and 13 at 2:30 p.m. An additional show will take place on Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m. All performances are to happen at Bunbury Theatre, located on the third floor of the Henry Clay Building at 604 S Third St. [4] in Old Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $21 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $10 for students and youth. All tickets can be purchased at the door or the Bunbury Theatre [5] website.

Enjoy the varied dramatic and comedic works that make up The Bunbury Dramedy Festival. Among them include Upwrap Your Candy and Wildwood Park, which focuses on the problems of being an adult and an audience member.

Next comes the work For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, a parody of The Glass Menagerie and  a comedy dealing with parent-child tensions.

Speaking of a Tennessee Williams play, The Chalky White Substance focuses on two men who struggle for survival after a nuclear fallout.

Finally, in I'm Herbert, two really old men sit and talk, are hazy in details - and don't really know how funny they were in reality.

More information on the festival can be found at the Bunbury Theatre [5] website.
