Kashmir Indian Restaurant has long been a favorite of Indian cuisine lovers in Louisville. It's gotten great reviews, has 2 locations on Bardstown Rd., and seems to be consistently packed with happy customers.
A few weeks ago, I had a great dish here called "Lamb Mango". I got it as spicy as possible, which surprisingly wasn't too much heat. The lamb was wonderfully tender and not gristly or fatty, which is rare in many places around town, and the sauce was thick, dark, and perfectly seasoned with a silence-inducing blend of spices. Mixed together with mango and broccoli, served over rice, it was simply fantastic. For $10.99, it was a fairly small dish, but I appreciate help with portion control. :) I sopped up the extra sauce with naan and savored every little bit. Well worth every penny.
You should go visit Kashmir. Or get some food to go. Or rent a dining room for a special dinner. Or check out their lunch buffet. Just sayin'.
