Have you checked out the events at Jewish Community Center (JCC) [4]? They had a Summer Camp open house [5] yesterday, where parents could grab loads of information about their popular summer camps and swimming sessions, but if you missed it, check out the information and download the PDF here [6].
But before summer comes spring, and Spring Break is literally just around the corner. Hopefully the weather can make a fast turnaround and deliver warmer days, greener grass, and beautiful daffodils and tulips soon! JCC Spring Camp [7] runs April 2-5 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm (with extended care options) for ages 20 months- 5th grade at 3600 Dutchmans Lane.
The theme this year is "Going on a Picnic," where campers will enjoy every aspect of springtime picnicking. On Tuesday, April 2, kids will learn about ants and enjoy a LEGO project from Bricks 4 Kidz. Campers will learn all about dirt on Wednesday, and kids ages K-5th grade will take a field trip to the Louisville Nature Center. On Thursday, the theme will be recycling (and all week, JCC will be collecting used cell phones to be recycled/reused). On Friday, April 5, campers will bring items from home to ensure the perfect Springtime picnic.
Campers will enjoy crafting, sports, and age-appropriate activities, and K-5 campers will swim each day (don't forget a towel and swimsuit!). The website provides very detailed information, and a registration form is available at jewishlouisville.org/springcamp [8]. For more information, call 502-238-2708.
