Love and laziness are explored in Gnit, which will premiere during the Humana Festival on Friday.
Gnit performances are to happen at various times and dates from Mar. 15-April 7. All performances will take place in the Pamela Brown Auditorium, located inside Actors Theatre at 316 W. Main Street [4] in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for each preview show (Mar. 15 and 16) are $24-$32 per person. Tickets for all other shows are $35-$51, depending on the show and seat. All tickets can be purchased at the Actors Theatre [5]website, the Actors Theatre box office, or by calling the box office at 502-584-1205. Keep in mind the play is recommended for those 16 and up due to strong language and adult situations.
Gnit tells the story of Peter Gnit, who is looking for his true True Self, which is slowly eroding away. However, this peculiar representative of the human race finds himself in one bad decision after another during his search. The play, based on the Norwegian play Peer Gynt, deals with love and its polar opposite, laziness.
Will Eno created Gnit, which Les Waters directed for the Humana Festival.
