Bit to Do [1]
By Allan Day [3]

Ask any group what the best Christmas movie is, and somebody will inevitably say Die Hard

while nodding knowledgeably at their own badassery. I personally feel this is a cop-out. A film set during the holidays does not a Christmas movie make. But this is just my opinion, open to heated debate, argument, and chair-throwing (one hopes). However,

Die Hard

is pretty great; it's a hell of a good time whose sequels only continue to impress.

Listen: tomorrow, Wednesday, is the opening date of the fifth film in the series, the sillily titled

A Good Day to Die Hard [4]

. Cinemark loves you, because they are presenting the series at Tinseltown in its entirety: all five films, ten hours of

Die Hard

, all at once. The mind reels.

The series starts with the introduction of John McClane (Bruce Willis), whose estranged wife's office building is held siege by a group of terrorists led by Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman). They don't know a renegade is loose and it is up to the bare-footed McClane to save the day – and Christmas.

The following Christmas, McClane is facing off against terrorists again in

Die Hard 2: Die Harder

as the Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C. is besieged by a rogue military group. Seems a VIP is flying in and they need him for their own devious purposes.

In

Die Hard With a Vengeance

(my personal favorite), McClane is put through a series of tests and trials by the diabolical Simon (Jeremy Irons). He must stop him with the help of Zeus (Samuel L. Jackson) before the bomb blows – and secrets are revealed connecting the events of the first film.

The series passes into the digital age with

Live Free or Die Hard

, in which a terrorist has taken over the Internet and is wreaking havoc. It is once again up to McClane to stop him, with the help of that guy from the Mac commercials.

Finally, we reach the main event:

A Good Day to Die Hard

, in which McClane travels to Russia for his son, Jack (Jai Courtney), who turns out to be working for the CIA . The conflict? Nuclear weapons. Boom.

All this presented for the low price of $25. It takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12:15 at Tinseltown, located at 4400 Towne Center Drive. Complete information can be found at the Cinemark website [5].
