Young Hearts Theatre presents a collection of classic country and gospel songs in Jubilee, which opens later today.
Jubilee will take place on Sept. 27, 29, and 30 at 2 p.m. each day. A night performance will happen on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. All performances will take place at the Ursuline Arts Center, located at 3105 Lexington Road [4] in the Crescent Hill neighborhood.
All performances are free and open to the public. However, donations to Young Hearts Theatre are accepted. More information on the show can be found at the Young Hearts Theatre [5] website.
Jubilee features members of the Young Hearts Theatre performing classic country and gospel music standards. Among the songs to be sung and performed are: Your Cheatin Heart, I'll Fly Away, Precious Lord, Stand By Your Man, Amazing Grace, and Boot Scootin' Boogie.
Pat Cole and Judy Lovelace directed and arranged the performances. Jo Ann Fryrear choreographed the production.
Young Hearts Theatre aims to bring those young at heart together to perform and remain active in the community. The company presents a fall show, a spring show, and several mini-productions throughout the year.
