Run your race in your favorite place --
The Virtual Labor Day Run
Labor Day usually means snooze buttons and barbeques as many of us enjoy starting our week with the workday off. This year, add running to your sure-to-be-a-beautiful-day to-do list. The Virtual Labor Day Run starts at 9:00 AM on September 3, which means you still get to sleep in, and it allows runners to design their own course or run their favorite route throughout Louisville . To boot, you can track your progress against other runners worldwide in preparation for World Run Day on November 11. The mission of these races is promote the benefits of running to everyone here, there and everywhere, and to encourage the running community to sponsor charitable causes of their individual choice. Registering now [4]has several advantages including securing a low bib number for World Run Day, allowing you to have your own personal quote or dedication posted on the event site, naming your home city (read: giving Louisville a shout out to the world) on the event site and (and these are a favorite for runners), an event t-shirt.
