Approaching the issues of death and dying is never easy. However, Clarksville Little Theatre will artistically handle the subjects in the Pulitzer Prize-winning project The Shadowbox, which opens on Friday.
The Shadowbox will take place on March 4, 5, 10, 11, and 12 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee performance will occur on March 6 at 2 p.m. All shows will go on at Clarksville Little Theatre, located at 301 E. Montgomery Ave [4]. in Clarksville, IN.
Tickets for the show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 60 years and over, $12 for students 13 years to 18, and $8 for children six years to 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or can be reserved by calling 812-283-6522. Keep in mind that Clarksville Little Theatre only accepts cash and checks.
The Shadowbox focuses on three terminally-ill patients, who are in their last days at a hospice. All they are interviewed about their own views on life, dying, and death. Michael Cristofer created the Pulitzer-Prize winning drama.
During The Shadowbox's run, Hosparus will receive a portion of the show's earnings and will have information available at the show.
Following The Shadowbox will be the rock musical Hair, running in mid-May. Auditions for the show are on March 6 and 7. More information on the show can be found at the Clarksville Little Theatre [5] website.
