The Derby Dinner production of Weekend Comedy includes two couples, one in their 50s and the other in the 20s, who inadvertently spend a weekend together in the Catskills. Due to a booking error, the couples have rented the same cabin but decide to share it. The generation differences become apparent very early, leading to comedic results.
Weekend Comedy features David Myers as Frank, Janet Essenpreis as Peggy, Brian Bowman as Tony, and Lexie Dorsett as Jill. Bekki Jo Schneider directed the production.
Following Weekend Comedy, Derby Dinner Playhouse will present Jesus Christ Superstar, which will run from February-April. The children’s theatre, meanwhile, will present Alexander, Who’s Not Not Not Not Not Not Going to Move, also in February.
