Pennsylvania's own Dr. Dog [4] will provide a musical blast from the past for Forecastle attendees this Saturday, July 14, at 6 p.m. on the Mast Stage.
What started as a lo-fi experiment in 1999 has evolved into a bona fide five-man rock band, anchored by the harmonic vocals of Scott "Taxi" McMicken and Toby "Tables" Leaman. Dr. Dog's signature blend of 60s-era throwback instrumentals and raw lyricism continues to garner acclaim, especially with this year's release of their highly praised Be the Void.
