Not known for walking on eggshells, Bill Maher [4] is liable to take more than a few cracks at just about everyone.
Best recognized from his weekly HBO series, Real Time, Maher makes a point of telling it like it is; without holding anything back.
In a recent episode of Real Time, Maher quipped, “This law they have in Florida, this ‘stand your ground’ law where you can use any amount of force if you think there is some amount of perceived threat; good thing they don’t have that here because my lawn would be littered with Jehovah’s Witnesses.”
While some consider him callous and insensitive, others consider him genius. Maher has been nominated for 23 Emmy awards, has written four best-selling books, and has produced one of the highest grossing documentaries of all time (Religulous [5], 2008).
The political commentator began his career as a stand-up comedian 33 years ago, and continues to bring audiences to tears; some from laughter and some from anger, as he takes on politics, law, and life in general.
Bill Maher will perform this Saturday, May 19 at 8:00pm. Tickets start at $38.50 and can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office [6] or by calling 502-584-7777.
