Bit to Do [1]
By Jessica Lynn [3]

Framer's Supply has been on the corner of Fourth and Winkler for years, but they wanted to find a new use for one of their buildings. Owner Michael Sweets andd artist Glen Herre had the idea that people who buy frames also buy art and vice a versa. Along with co-owner David Sweets, they brought in Mike Nusser to create an art gallery and artist workspace that is an unusual attraction in a neighborhood otherwise populated by liquor stores and fast food restaurants.

The building has a small gallery, artist's studios for rent, and a few apartments on the upper levels.  The opening showcased a beautiful array of paintings, photography and sculpture. There was performance by poet/photographer Mark James and  band Huh Robots.  The opening also resulted in a few sales for the resident artists.
