Fred Graham's past comes back with a vengeance in the musical Kiss Me Kate, which opens at Assumption High School tonight.
Kiss Me, Kate will be performed on Oct. 28, Nov. 3, 4, and 5 at 7 p.m. each day. A show on Oct. 29, meanwhile, will occur at 8 p.m. Matinee shows are to take place Oct. 30, Nov. 5, and 6 at 2 p.m. each day. All performances will happen through the Rose Theatre Company at Assumption High School, located at 2170 Tyler Lane [4] in the Highlands section of Louisville.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $7 for students, and $7 for senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at 271-2636 (between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.), online at the Assumption High School [5] website, or, if available, at the door.
Kiss Me Kate [6] is essentially a show within a show, featuring several people from Fred Graham's past, including his former wife, a person he's now interested in, and a person who is interested in his former wife. During a version of The Taming of the Shrew, Bill sends a bouquet of flowers to the wrong person while also being pegged for a gambling IOU.
Following Kiss Me, Kate, Assumption High School will present the BLOOM Theatre Project. The project will run in February 2012.
