Eight plays, less than two hours, for one price. Not a bad deal, and The Bard's Town will provide that beginning tonight in Ten-Tucky Festival of Ten-Minute Plays.
The Ten-Tucky Festival will run Aug. 17-21 and 24-27 at 7:30 p.m. each night. All performances will take place inside The Bard's Town, located at 1801 Bardstown Road [4] in the Highlands.
Tickets for the festival are $16 per person and can be purchased online at The Bard's Town website or by calling 749-5275. Tickets, if still available, may also be sold at the door. More ticket information can be found at The Bard's Town [5] website.
The Ten-Tucky Festival will have eight plays by eight playwrights and eight directors. All plays are around 10 minutes long and have a wide range of situations, like Girl Scout cookie theft (Neighborly Do's and Don'ts), a presidential debate (The Internet President), remembering a childhood (Over), and Adam and Eve undergoing marriage counseling (Love Religiously).
Other plays in the festival include a take on Waiting for Godot (Wedding for Godot), a Cardinals fan looking for his wife's cat (The Intruder), a wedding party sans a groom (Disappearances), and a meeting at a bar (Encounter at the Ink Spot).
More information the rest of The Bard's Town's [5] entertainment, food, and drink options can be found at the facility's website.
