The field for the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby is now set. For the first time, also eligibles were allowed and one horse took advantage--My Adonis. If one of the twenty horses in the Derby field scratches between now and 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, My Adonis would draw in.
Two equipment changes were announced at the post position draw. Liaison and Went The Day Well will add blinkers. Most would consider an equipment change prior to a race like the Kentucky Derby a no-no. It's certainly not something commonly seen.
