Americans use 60,000 plastic bags every five minutes-single-use disposable bags that we mindlessly throw away. But where is "away?" Where do the bags and other plastics end up, and at what cost to our environment, marine life and human health? Bag It follows "everyman" Jeb Berrier as he navigates our plastic world. Once again, Fourth Street Live! is proud to host The Louisville Urban League's "Doing The Right Thing" Youth Expo! On Saturday, September 10, join us for a youth-focused expo that has become a popular, annual tradition in our community. The event is designed to increase pride and appreciation for student achievement in the Louisville area. Some of the activities include showcasing the talent of local youth, recognizing youth achievement through awards and encouraging involvement in youth development programs. Komen for the Cure Kicks off their 7th annual Pink Tie Ball. The 7th annual Pink Tie Ball, presented by ICAP Energy, takes place at the Louisville Downtown Marriott on Saturday, September 10, 2011. This year’s theme is “Fleur de’ Pink”. The elegant “pink” tie evening features a pink champagne and cocktail reception, dinner, dancing, a silent and a live auction. Individual tickets are available for $225. Breast Cancer Survivor Tickets are $150. Pink Lounge tickets are $75.
