Ice cream is an integral part of American culture. It is a necessary complement to birthdays, pies, and heartbreak. It is, however, high in sugar and fat – things our citizens certainly don’t need any more of. Luckily, we have frozen yogurt, which is just as tasty while offering less calories.
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt [4] is having the grand opening celebration of their first store in Louisville this Friday, November 11. Already boasting 110 locations nationwide, they are celebrating their 111th store on 11/11/11 by giving away a ton of frozen yogurt – literally. A whopping 32,000 ounces of yogurt will be offered free to customers in ten ounce servings, with toppings of your choice. This offer is good for one serving per customer, so good luck choosing from among the 69 flavors and 35 toppings.
In addition, Orange Leaf Yogurt is encouraging patrons to write letters of thanks to overseas troops and veterans. They have partnered with www.AMillionThanks.org, a nonprofit whose sole mission is to show appreciation to our military personnel, both past and present. Orange Leaf is providing tools to customers who wish to write a letter of thanks during their visit on Friday (which is Veteran’s Day). After the 11th, anyone can go online to the company’s website and write a letter from there through Thanksgiving; writers will in turn receive special offers for frozen yogurt.
The new Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt is located at 3567 Springhurst Boulevard, Ste. 3565. They will be open from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
