Artography 2011

More than 100 local artists and over 40 bands will perform this weekend at one incredible event!

Visual artists and photographers team up to collaborate on art pieces that will be for sale this weekend. Tickets are only $15 or $25 for both nights with proceeds to benefit the Fairness Campaign, Down & Derby, and the Wings Clinic. There will be musical performances all night long by some of the hottest Louisville bands. It's all about celebrating commUNITY this weekend!  Check out Kenn Parks' web page for more details.

The Louisville Kids Fair

Meet Spongebob Squarepants at the Louisville Kid's Fair!

The Louisville Kid's Fair is a brand new event which will be premiering at the Kentucky International Convention Center on March 26-27, 2011.

This 2-day, fun-filled event was created to allow families to spend the day together while shopping, gathering information, and most of all allowing the kids to have fun!

Brightside/UPS Community-Wide Cleanup

Donor funded and volunteer driven since 1986, Brightside works to unite people in clean and green activities to beautify the city and foster community pride. We also provide award-winning environmental education programs for our youth.

Join us for the Brightside/UPS Community-Wide Cleanup
Register your family, friends, employer, place of worship, suburban city, group, organization or school for the Brightside/UPS Community-Wide Cleanup, March 26.

Last fall, more than 5,400 volunteers removed 28 tons of trash from streets, sidewalks and green spaces. Volunteers receive free bags and gloves.

T-shirts available to the first 5,000 volunteers.

Organic French Bistro Night

Speed Concert Series Presents Rachel Lee, Violinist

Violinist Rachel Lee is one of today’s most captivating artists, and “already commands an impressive musical profile,” according to the Chicago Tribune. She is noted for her compelling stage presence and a unique ability to “make the music sing” (The Baltimore Sun), as well as her commitment to a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from Bach and Beethoven to Stravinsky, Bartok, Janacek, and Webern.

Admission is free for members, $10 for non-members. Tickets on sale now at the Speed Museum front desk. Concert performance will be held at the University of Louisville School of Music, Comstock Hall. Call 502.634.2700 for more information.
