Former duPont Manual and Jeffersontown standout Aaron Cosby is one of the top prospects in the nation. The 6-foot-2 combo guard played this past season at a Mt. Hermon in Northfield, Massachusetts.I caught up with Cosby and spoke with him about his recruitment and his summer plans.
Johnston: What are your plans this summer?
Cosby: I am probably going to take a few unofficial visits and I'm going to be playing for Team Indiana.
Johnston: What schools have offered?
Cosby: Marshall, St. Louis, Seton Hall, Northwestern, Boston College and Western Kentucky.
Johnston: What schools are you planning on visiting?
Cosby: I'm planning on visiting St. Louis, Northwestern, Boston College, Clemson and I'm working on a couple others.
Johnson: How did your season go this past year?
Cosby: I moved to the point guard position, so I played with the ball in my hands a lot. My team made in the the national prep championship. We tied for most wins in school history. It was a successful season.
Johnston: What did you average?
Cosby: I ended up averaging 12 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.
KP: What are some things you're working on this summer?
Cosby: I'm going to continue to work on my ball handling and shooting. The competition up there is a lot tougher. Every game we are playing against some of the top players in the country and playing against seven footers every night, so I working on my mid-range game.
Johnston: How have you liked prep school so far? was a it good decision for you to transfer?
Cosby: It was a good decision. It has helped to me mature. I'm probably going to go away when I go to college, so I needed to get used to being away from home. I didn't put up monster numbers but I feel like I improved a lot and that was due to the competition I played with and the guys i was surrounded by.
