So much for wedded bliss. Louisville Repertory Company will present The Marriage of Bette and Boo beginning on Thursday.
The Marriage of Bette and Boo will open on June 17 at 8 p.m. Shows will also take place on June 18, 19, 21, 25, and 26 at 8 p.m. each night. The final show will be a matinee show, June 27 at 2 p.m. The production will take place in the Mex Theater at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located at 501 West Main Street [4] in downtown Louisville.
The production is slated to last two hours with one intermission. Tickets for The Marriage of Bette and Boo are general admission and cost $16 per person. The tickets can be purchased by either going to the Kentucky Center [5] for the Arts website, going to the box office, or calling 502-584-7777. Keep in mind the show does contain some adult situations.
The Marriage of Bette and Boo is a comedy that follows a couple from the time they get married. Despite the happiness of the wedding day, the couple run into issues from childbirth, including multiple stillborns, drinking, illness, wacky families, and a priest who pretends to be a piece of bacon.
