This Friday fill both your glass and your heart by taking part in this year’s Winterfest Beer Festival at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center [4], 1860 Mellwood Ave.
This year’s event is bigger and better than ever, promising 15 regional craft brewers, live music, food, giveaways and a great time. Not to mention it is all for a good cause, as it benefits Green Hill Therapy (an organization dedicated to the lives of fundamentally challenged children), and the Eric Hall Foundation (established in honor of a fallen Marine to help those with post traumatic stress disorder).
Brewers include New Albanian Brewing Company, Bell’s, Three Floyds, Cumberland Brews, and Bluegrass Brewing Company just to name a few, and food will be sponsored by such local restaurants as Kentucky BBQ Company, TonyBoombozz and Zanzabar. The event is 5-9 p.m., and admission is $30 with proceeds going to the aforementioned charities. You may just show up, or purchase tickets online at greenhilltherapy.com [5]. Come and raise a glass for a good cause.
