Frankfort Avenue will host the F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop on Friday, August 28th from 6:00pm to 10:30pm. The F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop, on the final Friday of each month, provides FREE parking and transportation to participating shops, restaurants and galleries along the Frankfort, Mellwood and Story Avenue corridor. Transportation is provided by TARC.
Special activities happening during the F.A.T. Friday Trolley Hop on August 28th are:
• The Mellwood Art Center, located at 1860 Mellwood Avenue, will introduce the new Ballroom #3 by hosting a free wedding vender show where guests can enter to win prizes, taste food from local caterers, and sample products. They will also host an exhibit by Kentuckiana Kitchen and Bath Association and live music by Crushed Velvet in the Courtyard.
• The Wine Rack, located at 2716 Frankfort Avenue, will host a Farmers Market in the Courtyard, as well as wine and cheese samplings.
• Pottery Rowe, located at 2048 Frankfort Avenue, will host Caricature Artist Erin O’Mara, who will be creating black and white caricatures on the spot!
• Shine, located in the Mellwood Arts Center, will have free chair massages, a Family Music Play Along, a Barefoot Boogie, and Premier Face Painting.
• Gallery Janjobe, located in the Mellwood Art Center, will have "Go Ahead, Make My Clay” on display, an exhibition that showcases the versatility of clay art.
