Divorce Clinic
Legal Aid Society office
416 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd.
June 19, 9 a.m.
Along with income, consumer spending and employment, the recession might hurt our divorce rate as well [4]. So maybe this free divorce clinic from the Legal Aid Society [5], in which people can receive assistance from attorneys in completing paperwork needed to file for divorce, will help us maintain the high-level of unsuccessful marriages we're accustomed to. USA! USA! USA!

Skull Alley's first anniversary
Skull Alley
1017 E. Broadway
June 19 and 20, 7 p.m.
Louisville's "all ages venue, screen printing shop, record label, and so much more [6]" turns 1 year old this weekend and is celebrating with two nights of the rock and/or roll. Each evening features four bands and tickets are $5 per day.

Howl at the Moon -- Dog Hike
Jefferson Memorial Forest
Horine Reservation
June 19, 7 p.m.
This evening of humping, butt sniffing and territory marking should allow you to make it up to Fido that he's no longer allowed at the Bardstown Road Farmers' Market [7]. Staff at the Jefferson Memorial Forest [8] will lead owners and their dogs on this nighttime hike. Non-retractable leashes are required, and the cost is $6 a dog.

Louisville Ale Club
Derby City Espresso
331 E. Market St.
June 20, 5 p.m.
Focusing on lagers, the Louisville Ale Club's [9] June meeting also will feature live music, and attendees can order food to be delivered from Jimmy Johns. (It's usually best to eat a little something when researching beers.)

Author Event: David Sedaris
Carmichael's Bookstore
2720 Frankford Ave.
June 21, 4 p.m
Get to Carmichael's Frankfort Avenue [10] location early for humorist David Sedaris's reading and book signing -- like now. Carmichael's already has started distributing line numbers to purchasers of a Sedaris item. Video and audio of the reading will be broadcast to what's expected to be an overflow crowd. A street party complete with a photo booth, a guy selling wieners and cornhole will accompany Sedaris's appearance.
