Saturday is the first Southwest Farmers Market [5] of the year. Featuring the usual assortment of local farmers offering fresh produce, meats, eggs, flowers and other local items. It'll be held every Saturday morning through the first weekend in October.
Free family fishing

Waverly Lake
Meet at Waverly Lake [6] for this free casting clinic for ages 8 and up. All equipment will be provided. According to the write-up, the lake is "newly renovated," which is the fancy way of saying it's just been stocked so you have a good chance of catching a fish.
ECO Kids First Saturday Day

In honor of June being Every Child Outside (ECOkids) Month and Saturday being National Trails Day, Bernheim is offering a ffree map-guided visual scavenger hunt and hike. Meet at the visitor center [7].
Cherokee Park Summer Concert Series

Willow Park
The Lost Boys will be bringing the rock and/or roll to Willow Park as the third concert in the Cherokee Park 2009 Summer Concert Series [8]. Admission is free. No pets, no booze though.
Full Moon Party

Avalon [9], a restaurant I seem to mention regularly, is bringing the beach, an absinthe fountain, specialty cocktails, an absinthe fountain, a DJ and an absinthe fountain to its patio Sunday night for this party in honor of the full moon.
