Louisville Waterfront Park is pleased to announce a new Yoga program at Waterfront Park. Waterfront Yoga will take place in the Brown-Forman Amphitheater on River Road between Tumbleweed and Stop Lite Liquors. Classes are held every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm starting in June through September for only $5 per person. Instructors are Joshua Lakes and Lu Lomazzi. A weather cancellation hotline is available at 502.568.6334.
“A lot of larger cities offer yoga in their parks and I thought this was something Louisville needed, especially since we are growing our Waterfront Park system,” said Libby Roberts, Director of Waterfront Yoga. “I chose the Brown-Forman Amphitheatre as the location because the waterfront is just a great place to bring people together. The amphitheatre in particular has a very serene atmosphere. It’s an intimate venue that also has an amazing sound system. Since the classes start at 7:30pm, we get to watch the sunset over the river – what more could you ask for?”
Louisville Waterfront Park is the front door to Kentucky, a playground for people of all ages, and a gathering place for folks from all over the community. It offers a grand view of the river, space for concerts and festivals, quiet places to read a book, picnic spaces for your family and friends and now yoga for the community.
