Lilly’s (1147 Bardstown Road, 451-0447). Pumpkin Flan ($6), consisting of pumpkin puree, cream cheese, lemon juice, condensed milk and sugar, is available for lunch and dinner. In November, look for a pumpkin-pear-jalapeno soup with spiced pumpkin seeds ($6) made with roasted Cinderella pumpkins.

City Cafe (several locations). The signature Big Salad ($7.50) features romaine, baby spinach, kale ribbons, sprouts, tomato, onion, carrots, dulse, edamame, green apple, toasted almonds and pumpkin seeds tossed in a ginger miso dressing.

Seviche (1538 Bardstown Road, 473-8560). Toasted pumpkin seeds also appear on Seviche’s menu. They’re sprinkled across a green chile Caesar salad ($7), and toasted pumpkin seed rice accompanies the Kentucky Gouda chimichanga entree ($18), which is also served with roasted butternut squash/serrano chile sauce and tomato butter.

Desserts by Helen (2210 Bardstown Road, 451-7151 and 9209 U.S. Highway 42, 228-8959). Sweeten the season with a pumpkin cheesecake ($30) that’s topped with pecans and brown sugar or with the signature pumpkin pie ($15), which will reappear in November.
