Santa Lends a "Helping Paw" to Area Animal Groups [2]

Did you know Santa Claus is a huge animal lover? As a matter of fact, he is! So, again this holiday season, Jolly Ole' Saint Nick will be donating time out of his very busy schedule to help out the Kentucky Humane Society and other area animal groups for the 19^th annual PICTURE YOUR PETS WITH SANTA, a fundraising event that has become a holiday tradition for thousands of area pet lovers.

During the first three weekends in December, the Kentucky Humane Society (KHS) and Feeders Supply will present the annual pet photo event at all 12 Feeders Supply stores. Pet lovers can get professional portraits of their furry friends with Santa on December 2 & 3, 9 & 10 and 16 & 17, Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m. PICTURE YOUR PETS WITH SANTA is the area's only fundraiser where you can treat your pet to a visit with Kris Kringle while also helping thousands of homeless dogs and cats from the area. Event proceeds benefit KHS, as well as Hope for Pets of Bullitt County, Animal Protection Association of Clark County and Floyd County Animal Rescue League.

Photos are offered in various packages, starting at only $10. Gift items featuring your pet's photo, including ornaments, mugs and T-shirts, also are available. Pet owners are asked to have dogs on leashes and cats and other pets in carriers please.

An additional event location has been added this year at Feeders Supply's new Shepherdsville store located at 187 Adam Shepherd Way.
