After a brief hiatus, the popular rock band Tonic makes its
return to the music scene this summer with a FREE concert at Fourth
Street Live! You'll hear great songs like "Open Up Your
Eyes", "Casual Affair", and their biggest hit "If You Could Only See" -
the most-played rock radio song of '97. Plus, you may catch some of the
previously unreleased bonus tracks off their new album, "A Casual
Affair: The Best Of Tonic" (release date this fall).
This FREE concert begins at 8:00 p.m. Party On The Plaza is
presented by Absolut Vodka - you must be 21 years of age, unless
accompanied by a parent or guardian. Free parking is located at the Galleria Garage on Fifth Street between Muhammad Ali and
Liberty after 6:00 p.m. Additional parking is offered at the Seelbach

Checkers is
an American pastime and here at Glassworks, we're red, white and blue
(and yellow, green, purple, orange, etc.). We encourage you to come on
in to the Walk-in Workshop, and try your hand at creating your very own
checker board. Are you sure you want to move there? Using the fusing
method of layering glass upon glass, then "melting" the glass together
in our kiln, you can design your own 10"x10" version of one of
America's favorite games. No glass experience necessary. Glass maximum
is 6. Checker board will be completed in one afternoon but will require
a night in the kiln. Your piece will be finished and ready for pickup
no later than a week after the workshop

Printmaking class with Debby Stratford
Summer Sunday Series of Six
Louisville Visual Art Association
This class will explore the softer side of relief printmaking. Using
Gomuban, an easy to carve vinyl rubber plate that holds very fine
details, we will explore relief printmaking with this great new
product. We will use a small press to print.
Debby Stratford has been making linoleum prints for 20 years. Her
work was recently exhibited at the Kentucky Craft Market and the
Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft. She is a member of the Louisville
Artisans Guild, an LVAA Children's Fine Art Classes Instructor, and a
featured artist at the Berea Artisan Center.
