Productions presents its second annual festival of new plays by local
playwrights, Finnigan’s Festival of Funky Fresh Fun, running April 16,
17, 18, 23, 24 & 25 at 7:30pm at The Rudyard Kipling, located at
422 W. Oak Street. Finnigan’s Festival of Funky Fresh Fun is the second
production in Finnigan’s fifth season in Louisville.
Finnigan’s Festival of Funky Fresh Fun is a celebration of local
theatre artists in the disciplines of playwriting, acting and
directing, with scripts from eleven local writers, being directed by
ten local directors and performed by eleven local actors.

Participate in the UofL Med School's 21st annual Health
Care Classic 5K Run/Walk. This event was started in 1989 to promote healthy lifestyles
within the student body and community and to raise funds for The
Healing Place, a non-profit organization in Louisville.
The Healing Place (please see www.thehealingplace.org
for more information) is a homeless shelter with an innovative program
of care and recovery for homeless chemically dependent people. It has
been nationally recognized for its program model that has been
duplicated in numerous other cities in the US. The School of Medicine
has a special connection with The Healing Place because it has a
medical clinic that provides care to the residents free of charge and
is staffed by local health care professionals who volunteer their time.
Second year students may choose to earn elective credit by working in
the clinic, allowing students to not only gain more clinical exposure
but also to get a better awareness of this successful community
resource.
