Interplanetary metal band GWAR drenched a packed Mercury Ballroom with fake blood on Thursday. Four opening acts — including local band Stonecutters, a Virignia rock band called U.S. Bastards and "horror metal" band Doyle — primed the crowd for GWAR's gore.
