Where to Brunch Easter Sunday 2016 in Louisville [2]

Eat & Swig [1]
By Katie Molck [3]

Easter Sunday is approaching.  It's a holiday that brings out ample amounts of charm and flair from those that celebrate it.  For the older, more seasoned individuals, this is a day when the stakes are raised for one's “Sunday best": the brighter and more impossibly-coordinated your outfit is, the better.  At the more innocent end of the spectrum, there are the scattered screaming children (with insatiable appetites for all things sugary-sweet) searching for decorative eggs that were probably painted, spruced, and bedazzled the night before.  In between the elders and the egg hunters, there are those who must be dragged out of bed and coerced into wearing something “presentable” to partake in the day’s events. Then, there are the rest of us heathens that need the promise of a mimosa to get us through.

While all may view Easter Sunday in different ways, there is one thing that all can look forward to and enjoy together:  Easter brunch.  Without further ado, in no particular order, here are some great local restaurants serving up their own Sunday best on March 27 in Louisville.

1. Varanese

Varanese [4] is opening early this Easter Sunday to provide you with a special Easter brunch menu. They’re dishing out home-style deviled eggs topped with two-year-old Prosciutto ham, shrimp bisque with fried shrimp toast, crab cake with poached egg benedict, bourbon barrel-smoked Hot Browns, and tons of other mouthwatering plates. Take advantage of the $7 special for mimosas or Bloody Marys - no one will look down on you for wanting to get a little buzz to get through the Easter festivities. Check out the full menu here [5]. Reservations are recommended for this one, so put your name in early!

2. LouVino

Did someone say bottomless mimosas? LouVino [6] did! For $10 you can drink, drink, drink all Sunday long! Well, almost. There is a two-hour seating limited, but hey, that sounds like a challenge to me. They’re taking reservations for three different select times, so get in while you can. Also, pancake tacos - they have them, filled with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese, and spiced maple dipping sauce. They’re also serving stuffed French toast, lamb and eggs, and chicken biscuit sliders. See their full menu here [7].

3. Bristol Bar & Grille
