The Wood Brothers and The Infamous Stringdusters [4]

 

Brothers Oliver and Chris wood along with Jano Rix make up The Wood Brothers; roots blend group well known in the Americana circuit. Their eighth album, “Paradise”, was released this year and recorded at Black Key’s, Dan Auerbach’s, East Eye Sound Studios. The Infamous Stringdusters will also be performing bringing the lovely harmonies and old-timey bluegrass Kentucky loves.

I’m not one for singing groups lacking instruments, but I must admit this male a cappella has some intriguing talent. They mostly cover modern pop hits, but they dabble in some Motown and rock songs too.

 

Nemes and The Trouts [6]

 

Nemes (knee-miss) is a genre muddling group with “one of a kind violin shredding”. Every song from the Boston group is vastly different from the last, but what’s most exciting is The Trouts; local and DIY. “Caught” them at Kaiju a few months back and the group at a basic form is goofy, fun, and worth seeing again.
