    Darryl Worley wraps up an amazing summer of Hot Country Nights FREE

    turning up the heat at Fourth Street Live! with a variety of songs,
    including those from his latest album, "Sounds Like Life".

    This FREE concert starts at 8:00 p.m. with the state finals of the
    Colgate Country Showdown! You must be 21 years of age or older, unless
    accompanied by a parent or guardian. Free parking is conveniently
    located at the Galleria Garage on Fifth Street between Muhammad Ali and
    Liberty after 6:00 p.m. Additional parking is offered at the Seelbach

    Description:

    The American
    Cancer Society invites you to enjoy a memorable evening at the Taste of
    the Grapevine Gala which features local eateries, caterers and wine,
    beer and spirits vendors. This year’s gala, sponsored by Norton Cancer
    Institute, will take place on Saturday, August 15 at 7 p.m. at the
    Seelbach Hilton Louisville.

    Guests are invited to try out specialty dishes, gourmet cuisine,
    imported and domestic wines, micro brewers and a variety of spirits.
    Local restaurant owners and beverage specialists will be available to
    answer any questions guests may have. Festivities will include the
    opportunity to bid on silent auction items and purchase the much
    sought-after “grape bags.” Dancing will follow the silent auction with
    entertainment provided by Radio Radio. Dress is cocktail attire.

    Description:

    In
    conjunction with the nation-wide celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s
    Bicentennial, this exhibition will take you on Louisville artist Ed
    Hamilton’s artistic journey to create the Louisville Waterfront Park
    Lincoln Memorial. The memorial features a young Abraham Lincoln reading
    a book. The exhibition will features early clay sculptures of the
    piece, plaster models, drawings, and the 12-foot final models of the
    Lincoln sculpture, as well as early sketches of the panels of
    bas-relief sculptures depicting scenes of slavery and Lincoln’s
    extraordinary life.
