The Hoot was voted “Best Festival in Louisville” next to the Derby by LEO Weekly Readers and this grassroots, homegrown fest celebrates all that is kind for the body, soul and mind.
At the Hoot, you'll find local heroes from organizations protecting people, animals & environment. You will find a foodie heaven of locally grown, organic gourmet delights. A limited edition Kind Brew will be available by the award-winning Apocalypse Brew Works. You'll find an assortment of Art and Alternative Healers, the Amphitheater Music Stage, the solar-powered Sun Stage with everything from Hip Hop to Acoustic to Spoken Word, a Community Jam, Turner's Circus Aerialists, Belly Dance & Tai Chi, Massage-a-thon, the Kindheart Walk featuring a collective of Artists and a Community Memorial, 2nd Line Parades and Element Puppets, a Free School with 2 tents of classes open to the public to engage and learn about topics like “Growing Food in an Urban Setting”, “Bike Repair 101”, “Belly Dancing”, “Off-Grid Living” and “How to become Politically Engaged” with Sellus Wilder, Attica Scott and other leaders.
Come hear why Louisville.com called the Hoot, "one of the top 15 Music Festivals" with performances by some of the most outstanding musicians in the region- Vessel, Hot Brown Smackdown, In Lightning, Troubadours of Divine Bliss, Jefferson Street Parade Band, Joel T.Henderson, Tom Boone & The Backporch Pickers, Zoe Speaks, M & David will grace the stage run by Ultimate Audio. The Amphitheater stage is sponsored by Doc’s Cantina and will be broadcast live by Crescent Hill Radio WCHQ 100.9 FM. Next to the stage, Krypta Night and Turners Circus will perform aerial arts that defy gravity and inspire awe! The Sun Stage will be powered by Solar Energy and Hip Hop from CPHR DVN, Space Camp, Eons D, Young Kavi, RMLLW2LLZ, DJ Kara Spoken Word by Young Poets of Louisville and an Acoustic Showcase with Leigh Ann Yost, Danny Flanagan and Tonya Buckler.
The Hoot is a celebration of kindness- a festival by and for our community that is creating a region that is more connected, sustainable, healthy, innovative and compassionate.
