Louisville’s First Official Improv Festival To Showcase Local and National Acts With Award Winning Performances, Improv Workshops, And More At The Bard’s Town.
LOUISVILLE, KY, September 29 & 30, 2017 – Local improv troupe, Damaged Goods, to host Louisville’s first ever Improv Comedy Festival at The Bard’s Town at 1801 Bardstown Rd. Metro Louisville will welcome some of the nation’s best improv comedy acts. 5 improv troupes from Louisville as well as 7 troupes from places including Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Detroit, and Cincinnati. This year’s Festival theme is, “If you’re alive…then you’re livin’.”
Festival performances will take place in Louisville’s best improv comedy venue, The Bard’s Town. The theater upstairs will play host to 5 shows and 2 improv workshops over 2 days.
Tickets for all 4 main shows will be $15 per show and $50 for a full weekend pass to all shows. Tickets are available at www.damgoodfestival.com/shows. There will be a 5th show after the 10pm set on Saturday Sept. 30th around Midnight. This show will be FREE to any and all and will consist of an improv jam open to the public and sponsored by Gonzo Improv. No experience needed for the jam. Just come up and have fun! Also you can come just to watch and not have to participate.

HEADLINERS - Laugh Out Loud Theater (Chicago & Schaumburg, IL)
After nearly a decade in Schaumburg, IL. Laugh Out Loud Theater expanded their hilarious improv theater into Chicago, IL with a second theater. Their shows are guaranteed to be laugh inducing and new every time you see one. Done in the same fully improvised style as hit shows like Whose Line Is it Anyway?, LOL combines live action improv comedy and audience participation into a truly unique, laugh-filled evening. Kentucky Bill (Louisville, KY)
“Kentucky Bill” is a long-form improv duo based out of Louisville, Kentucky. Each performance, Bill and Bill respectively, present a legend from their travels across the country and retell the tale to the best of their memory. It’s our goal to enrich and embellish the story telling experience. It’s your goal to inspire us to make a unique story, but good luck to you sir or madam, for we know every legend ever told. Having been featured at festivals in Kansas City, North Carolina, and the Del Close Marathon in NY, the Bills are ecstatic to bring their special brand of storytelling to the festival audience in their hometown.
